ARTISTS STATEMENT

For me, loving my changing body has been easy, and also sometimes challenging. It was always modeled to me growing up that it was healthy to love my body. Unlike many teenagers and children that grow up with TV, I didn't. I was lucky enough not to have fake images of what beauty is bombarding my developing mind. However, I did struggle with feeling confident as my body went through puberty. I remember hiding my developing breasts as much as possible, I think because I was afraid of being a woman and what that meant. I wanted to stay in my childhood. I am still learning to accept the size of my breasts and to love them properly, really give thanks and gratitude for how they are manifested on my amazing body. And my toes! My awful, long and skinny toes, at least that's how I used to see them. As I have grown, I have consciously made an effort to love them and see them differently. I love how feminine they are now, how delicate, gentle and sensitive they are, connected to my feet! Which hold me. Generally I think I am pretty confident being naked as a woman. I love swimming naked, I don't usually care who sees me. I used to hate my weight, now I love my size. It's voluptuous, and people say I am gorgeous to hug.

biggest passion in my life: Life and learning the many ways it can be lived, going into depths of different experiences, and taking what I can from them to grow, to love myself deeper and to love others from this place.
I like to listen to: my own voice, rivers flowing, laughter, children cackling, flutes, silence.
I like to watch: people in full expression. It inspires me seeing someone love what they do.
I like to smell: blossoms, sex, chai, wood, lawn clippings, sweat, home made bread.

I like to feel: soft, nurtured, bodies with oil on them, water, earth.
favourite part of my body: My toes! I like how playful and interesting they are. I can twist my big toe around the second one, most people can't do this, and think it's rad.
favourite part of someone else's body: Arms. I love a man's arms around me, holding me, and the strength I feel of his support when his arms are around me.
Why i shot myself: Because I was inspired to! I wanted to really prove to myself that I am beautiful, worthy of being photographed in my realness.
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: A lovely friend of mine, she oozes Amazon goddess sensuality.
